About the Author

MAEGWEN SALLEY-MASSIE is the author of The Emerald Queen Rises series and Creek Rat Jax of the anthology Riptide. She grew up in the Pee Dee Low Country of South Carolina with her loving parents and sister. Her childhood was spent mainly outdoors building forts, riding horses, playing capture the flag, riding ATVs, and playing volleyball. She began writing The Emerald Queen Rises as a form of therapy during the pandemic. She is a woven polypropylene specialist, COO of 963 FilmGroup, owner of The Well Ventures, COO and co-owner of Green Ferns Publishing House, and a multi-genre fiction author. Her favorite food is sushi, and she enjoys traveling the world. Maegwen currently lives in Myrtle Beach, SC, with her husband, Kyle, and their cat, Khaleesi, and dog, Pogue.
